Kyle Schwarber shouts out Bryce Harper on Twitter after HR Derby loss
Kyle Schwarber was gracious in defeat after losing in the finals of the Home Run Derby on Monday night at Nationals Park.
The Chicago Cubs slugger lost to Bryce Harper, who rallied from down 18-9 to hit nine homers in 10 swings over the final 55 seconds. Harper then hit a walk-off homer to win it during the 30-second bonus time period, 19-18.
After losing the competition, Schwarber sent out the following tweet crediting Harper for putting on a “show.”
What a show by @Bharper3407! @Nationals Park was rockin! Ran out of gas at the end but hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did! Thank you for the opportunity and see you in Chicago!

Considering Schwarber knocked out Rhys Hoskins in similar fashion the previous round, he can’t really be too upset about Harper handing it right back to him.
With the derby taking place at Harper’s home park, it was only right that he would win it.
