Larry Walker, Derek Jeter have fantastic exchange over Spongebob shirt
Larry Walker became a viral sensation on Tuesday not just because he was elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame, but because it happened while he was wearing a Spongebob shirt.
On Wednesday, Walker and fellow inductee Derek Jeter were in New York for the customary meeting with the media featuring new inductees. That press conference started off with a priceless exchange between the two over Walker’s shirt choice.
Walker: “This is way better than that Spongebob shirt from yesterday”
Jeter: “No, it’s really not.” pic.twitter.com/MZb47fkQGD

Jeter is correct on the balance. After all, look at that thing.
Jeter’s Hall of Fame induction was expected and should be celebrated, but there’s something wonderful about Walker’s joy and excitement over an election that came as a surprise to him. Plus, it gave us one of the better viral moments of the year so far.
