Watch: This Little Leaguer has the tiniest strike zone ever

Move over, Eddie Gaedel. We have a new nominee for tiniest strike zone ever.

A young player named Deivis Ordonez is going viral for a tactic he employed at the Little League World Series. The Venezuelan youngster crouched down to form the smallest zone imaginable during an at-bat against Australia:

Ordonez is 5-foot-0 and weighs 87 pounds according to ESPN’s profile on him. His nickname, fittingly, is “Chicken Little.”

Before you get too crazy, know that Ordonez was doing that as a tactic on the first pitch that he was taking. He actually stood up for the next pitch and ended up bunting for a single in his at-bat. Also, just because he had crouched down didn’t prevent that first pitch from being called a strike.

Ordonez came around to score on a single and excited the fans with a dance move:

If Ordonez turns out to be the breakout star of this year’s event, it would be quite the turnaround from last year’s viral star.

Maybe he’s bringing small ball back?
