Madison Bumgarner leaves game after being hit by line drive
The San Francisco Giants are facing a big scare over their ace left-hander.
Madison Bumgarner left Friday’s spring training game after being hit on the pitching hand or wrist by a line drive off the bat of Kansas City Royals infielder Whit Merrifield.
Giants ace Madison Bumgarner was struck in his pitching hand or wrist by a Whit Merrifield line drive and leaves the game in the third inning. Very ominous

There was no immediate word on the severity of the injury.
The Giants can ill-afford any significant injury to Bumgarner. Beyond the fact that he’s their best pitcher, they’re already down a starter due to injury, and they would have a hard time absorbing another major absence.
