Marcus Stroman calls out Dennis Eckersley for ‘trash’ commentary
MLB legend Dennis Eckersley appeared to criticize Marcus Stroman during Sunday’s game for the way he carries himself on the mound, and it didn’t take long for the Toronto Blue Jays ace to fire back.
Stroman is known for being one of the most animated pitchers in baseball, and Eckersley and Jerry Remy discussed that at one point during the NESN broadcast of Toronto’s win over the Boston Red Sox. Eckersley said the antics are “tired.”
That's not Dennis Eckersley calling Stroman's celebrations "tired," is it?

Eckersley was immediately ripped by fans for the commentary, which many felt was hypocritical. During his Hall of Fame career, Eck was known for always wearing his emotions on his sleeve and occasionally showing up opposing hitters while he did it. Stroman took to Twitter after his six innings of shutout ball to call attention to that and call Eckersley “trash.”
His comments are always trash.

Stroman has a tendency to rub people the wrong way and has already been called out by the Red Sox this year, but Eckersley is known for creating similar controversy with his unapologetic broadcasting style. If you remember, David Price took offense to Eckersley’s criticism of the Red Sox two seasons ago, and the problems still may not be resolved.
