The Miami Marlins’ makeover apparently will extend to their mascot.
SiriusXM’s Craig Mish reported on Monday that Billy the Marlin is getting a makeover.
I heard Billy the Marlin is getting a makeover. Thinner, shorter bill, cleats are among some rumored changes. Billy had no comment. He never does. He is a fish.

The Marlins are also expected to make changes to their logo and colors in 2019. On top of that, they received permission to remove the Home Run Sculpture from its current position beyond the wall in left-center.
The first step of Derek Jeter’s ownership plan was shipping out MVPs Giancarlo Stanton and Christian Yelich. The next step has more to do with image and appearances.
