
Angels pitcher Matt Shoemaker left Sunday’s game against the Seattle Mariners after being hit in the head by a line drive off the bat of Kyle Seager.
Shoemaker was pitching to Seager in the second inning when his 94-mph fastball was lined back up the middle. StatCast says the ball was hit back at him at 105 mph.

Shoemaker immediately went down and was treated by trainers. He left the game bleeding from his head but was conscious.
Shoemaker entered Sunday’s game 9-13 with a 3.88 ERA on the season.
