Mets will teach Brandon Nimmo to cook after food illness
Spring training has barely started and the New York Mets are already living up to their reputation.
Mets outfielder Brandon Nimmo was sent home with an originally undisclosed illness on Wednesday. Later on, however, the team did disclose what happened: manager Mickey Callaway admitted that Nimmo had gotten sick from eating undercooked chicken that he made, and the team was going to help him learn how to cook for himself.
Nimmo ate undercooked chicken that he prepared himself and got sick, according to Callaway. Mets plan to teach him how to cook.

The Mets are just a funny team, and weird things happen to them. Nice of them to go in and ensure that one of their standout young players is taught how to cook, though.
