Look: Mets’ Triple-A affiliate had in-game fireworks mishap
Somebody working for the Las Vegas 51s has a rather quick trigger finger.
The 51s, the Triple-A affiliate of the New York Mets, were playing the Fresno Grizzlies on Friday night when fireworks were accidentally shot off in center field right in the middle of an at-bat. Betsy Helfand of the Las Vegas Review Journal shared an image of the funny scene.

The 51s entered play on Friday with a record of 13-22 on the year, so perhaps someone was just looking for an excuse to finally use the fireworks. All jokes aside, the mishap comes just days after we saw a similar incident in the NBA.
