Miguel Montero has great tweet about his regular season numbers
As it turned out, it was Miguel Montero who delivered the game-winning RBI in Wednesday night’s Game 7. The Cubs catcher’s RBI single in the top of the 10th made it an 8-6 game, and the Cubs needed that extra run when Cleveland got one back in the bottom of the inning.
Montero also didn’t have the best of regular seasons. He knows that. And after last night, he doesn’t care, and he doesn’t think anyone else should either.
Do you guys remember my BA in the regular season ? Who cares lmao

For context, Montero hit just .216 in the regular season. In addition to the game-winning RBI, he also hit a mammoth grand slam in the opening game of the National League Championship Series. Yes, it’s safe to say that his regular season has been forgotten, and he’s not the only Cub who was regarded as a disappointment on the field to make an impact when it mattered most.
