Mike Moustakas had a fiery reaction to Noah Syndergaard going head-hunting on the first pitch of Game 3 of the World Series on Friday night.

Syndergaard said Thursday that he had some “tricks” planned to combat Kansas City Royals leadoff man Alcides Escobar’s penchant for attacking first pitches. What was the Mets starter’s trick? To throw up and in on Escobar so that the ball sailed over the shortstop’s head to the backstop.

Mission accomplished for Syndergaard, who ended up striking out Escobar. But what he probably didn’t intend for was the Royals to get so fired up that they began hitting him. Take a look at Moustakas’ reaction:

The Royals were not intimidated and scored a run in the first and reclaimed the lead in the second.

Don’t mess with KC, Thor.
