Angels manager Mike Scioscia got into it with Texas Rangers third base coach Spike Owen during the bottom of the seventh inning of a game between the teams on Tuesday night.
After the Angels intentionally walked Rangers catcher Jonathan Lucroy, there was a break in the action because home plate umpire Pat Hoberg wanted to see what was going on down the third base line. Scioscia was hollering from the Angels’ dugout at Owen, who came over to talk with the Angels manager.
It’s unclear what the issue was between the men. In the top of the seventh, the Rangers had thrown behind Andrelton Simmons.
Scioscia was eventually ejected from the game in the eighth along with reliever Brett Olberholtzer, who hit Elvis Andrus with a pitch.
