Mookie Betts has scathing assessment of his NLDS performance
After an MVP-caliber regular season, Mookie Betts was a non-factor as the Los Angeles Dodgers were swept by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the National League Division Series. He was not afraid to say as much, either.
Betts delivered a scathing assessment of his own performance after Wednesday’s 4-2 loss, which concluded a series in which he went 0-for-11. The star outfielder admitted that he did “absolutely nothing” to help the team win.

Betts’ performance pretty much told the story of the series. He and Freddie Freeman combined for just one hit — an infield single — during the three games, in which Los Angeles only scored a total of six runs. That made it pretty much impossible to win, even if the pitching had performed better.
Another Dodgers player was just as brutal when discussing the team’s performances. The organization may need to take a long look at things this offseason after yet another playoff disappointment.
