Noah Syndergaard leaves game with right elbow discomfort
The New York Mets have been struggling recently, but the worst news could be yet to come.
Starting pitcher Noah Syndergaard departed his Wednesday start after six innings after experiencing discomfort in his right elbow.
Uh oh. Noah Syndergaard's elbow flared up during the game. He's seeing a doctor now. That's why he left the game after six. #Mets

Without knowing the severity, it’s terrifying news for Mets fans. Syndergaard has been the team’s undisputed ace in 2016, winning again on Wednesday. He’s striking out nearly eleven batters per nine innings and has an ERA of 2.08, and it’s been desperately needed with another big name struggling. If Syndergaard misses any significant amount of time, the already struggling Mets may find themselves in deep trouble.
