Noah Syndergaard remains a king of social media for the New York Mets.
Syndergaard was the subject of trade rumors for weeks leading up to the deadline. He was sending funny tweets/Instagram posts while the rumors were unfolding.
Thor did not end up being traded at the deadline and instead will remain with the Mets, who actually became buyers and added Marcus Stroman. In response to not being traded, Syndergaard sent another funny tweet, this time including a clip from “Wolf of Wall Street.”

Syndergaard also changed his Twitter bio, adding a line that said “Yup, still here, In New York.”
The Mets are looking to become contenders rather than sellers, as they should. Between Pete Alonso, Jeff McNeil and Jacob deGrom, they have a nice core. Michael Conforto, Brandon Nimmo, Zack Wheeler and Steven Matz are other nice pieces. If Edwin Diaz has a bounceback season and if Yoenis Cespedes actually returns and plays decently, they could be a contender next season.
