Ozzie Guillen to reporter who asked about Fidel Castro: ‘Grow up, motherf*****’

After the incredibly insensitive remarks he made about Fidel Castro about a month ago, many of us wondered if we would see a more reserved Ozzie Guillen going forward. The blogosphere hoped we would not. While we certainly do not condone what he said about Castro, we love the way Guillen always speaks his mind and has a tendency to fly off the handle. Is he still going to do that after the suspension and all the heat he took? Just ask Paul Gallant of  SportsRadio 610 in Houston.

As Sports Radio Interviews pointed out, Gallant asked Guillen a question about his Castro comments on Monday. Guillen immediately blew a gasket and started cursing at him.

“Ah go f***ing grow up, motherf*****,” Guillen said when Gallant asked him if the backlash has cooled down over the last month. “Are you kidding me?”

For the tremendous audio of the exchange, click here. Clearly, Ozzie is still Ozzie. If he was not, I might even be a little surprised that he became so upset over a reporter asking him about a topic that he is probably going to have to answer questions about for the remainder of his career. The incident was only a month ago, and it was serious enough that Guillen was suspended for five games because of it. If he’s going to tell everyone who asks him about it to “f***ing grow up” we’re going to hear a lot more f-bombs from Ozzie this year than we originally anticipated.
