Phillies’ ticket sales skyrocket after Bryce Harper signing
The acquisition of Bryce Harper is already doing wonders for Philadelphia Phillies’ ticket sales.
Word of Harper’s impending signing broke publicly on Thursday. According to Jim Salisbury of NBC Sports Philadelphia, the Phillies have sold 180,000 tickets since then, including 80,000 alone on Friday.

In other words, Harper is paying dividends at the box office already, and these figures don’t even single out season ticket sales, which have also certainly seen a boost since the Harper signing was completed. Add in the fact that he’ll be around for 13 years and Phillies tickets look like a pretty safe investment right now — another reason this deal may prove to be a really good one for the organization.
