Watch: Rafael Devers hits 3-run home run in Game 5
Rafael Devers may have delivered the knockout blow against the Houston Astros on Thursday night.
Devers was up against Justin Verlander with two on and nobody out in the top of the sixth inning of Game 5 of the ALCS. Devers took the first pitch he saw from Verlander out to left field, above the Crawford boxes.

The homer marked Devers’ first of the postseason, and it made the score 4-0 in favor of the Boston Red Sox.
Devers’ bat has been big in the postseason. He went 2-for-3 with an RBI and two runs scored in Game 2; 1-for-1 with a walk and run scored in Game 3; and he got Boston on the board with a 2-run single in the first inning of Game 4.
