Ramos, one of the best hitting catchers in baseball, has been on the disabled list with a hamstring injury but is expected to catch a live bullpen session this weekend. He’ll be a major upgrade at the plate over Jorge Alfaro and Andrew Knapp.
Ramos is hitting .297 this year with 14 home runs and 53 RBI. The 30-year-old is a career .271 hitter.
