Robinson Cano’s teammates have his back as he makes his return to the Seattle Mariners.
Cano was activated by the Mariners on Tuesday and will start at first base in his return from an 80-game suspension for PEDs. The sweet-swinging infielder met with the media ahead of his team’s game against the Oakland A’s. According to MLB.com’s Greg Johns, Cano’s teammates lined the back of the interview room for his comments to the media as a show of support.
Most of Cano's teammates lined the back of interview room as Cano met with the media for the first time.
"We just wanted to show him that we all make mistakes, myself included, but you're not here alone," said Dee Gordon.

Dee Gordon has previously served a PED suspension as well, so he can relate to Cano’s position more than anyone. And due to Gordon playing second, Cano has been working at new infield positions in his rehab and will make his first start at first base.
Cano was batting .287 with an .825 OPS prior to his suspension. He will not be eligible for the postseason if the Mariners make it.
