
Texas Rangers catcher Robinson Chirinos and Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Matt Kemp both received one-game suspensions for their role in a brawl Wednesday night.
Chirinos and Kemp tangled after a collision at home plate, and both got short suspensions for their trouble. Kemp is appealing his punishment.
Matt Kemp suspended one game for conflict with Robinson Chirinos of the Rangers, who also was suspended one game. Kemp is appealing and can play until his appeal is heard.

Kemp may have been suspended as it was his shove that initiated the fracas, while Chirinos appeared to at least try to throw a few punches as the benches cleared. Either way, both players got off fairly easy considering how quickly the brawl erupted.
