Roger Clemens already plays old man softball
Roger Clemens may be one of the greatest pitchers in MLB history, but he has wasted no time settling into the retired life and doing stuff that regular middle-aged men do. That’s right, The Rocket already plays old man softball.
A friend of ours passed along the team photo you see above, which shows Clemens along with the other members of the Hendricks Sports Management softball team. Hendricks is the agency that represents the former Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees ace.
We’re told you have to be at least 50 years old to play in the league, so Clemens barely makes the cut at age 52. You also have to try out and an actual draft is held. Softball pitching may be underhand, but I wouldn’t want to be on the receiving end of a relay throw or anything like that from Clemens. I’d also be thankful they use aluminum bats, because that means it’s less likely that Clemens will go all Mike Pizza crazy on anyone.
One thing’s for sure — he wears that uniform well.
