Texas Rangers infielder Rougned Odor has reportedly been suspended eight games by Major League Baseball for his role in a brawl with the Toronto Blue Jays over the weekend.
According to Jon Heyman of MLB Network, Odor has already decided to appeal.

It’s no surprise that the league came down hard on Odor considering he punched Jose Bautista square in the jaw (video here). Baseball brawls typically involve a bunch of pushing and shoving, but it’s rare that actual punches are landed.
Bautista will likely face a suspension for his hard slide into second, though it will probably be shorter than the one Odor reportedly got.
