Royals home run upheld after controversial fan interference (Video)

The Kansas City Royals are looking to advance to their second consecutive World Series with a win on Friday, and they have have gotten some help from a fan.

Mike Moustakas hit a home run in the second inning to give Kansas City a 2-0 lead, but the play was reviewed after the Blue Jays contended there was fan interference. You be the judge.

The call was upheld on replay, with the umpires determining there was no clear and convincing evidence to make them believe that the ball would not have gone over the wall if not for the fan’s interference. To be honest, they’re probably right. It is impossible to tell for sure, and it looks like the ball had just enough to clear the padding, but it will still be a talking point if the Royals end up winning and that homer proves the difference.
