Todd Frazier called out a New York Mets reporter on Twitter for reporting what he felt was a “useless stat”.
Frazier went 2-for-3 with two walks, two RBIs and a run scored in the Mets’ 4-0 win over the San Diego Padres on Thursday. Anthony DiComo, who covers the Mets for MLB.com, tweeted about Frazier’s good game. He said Frazier had reached base twice and then mentioned that Frazier also didn’t strike out.
Frazier has notoriously been a high strikeout hitter throughout his career, and that seems to be a sensitive matter for him. He brought it up in response to DiComo, even noting that he did strike out
Another useless stat by you. What else is new. I actually did strikeout too. So get your calculator out and give the fans the percentages that they really don’t care about. Keep up the good work though.

That’s something that will fire up the fan base.
Frazier is set to become a free agent after the season, which is why he’s mentioned as a trade candidate for the 47-55 Mets.
Between reporters, ex-teammates and even current opponents, Frazier seems to be getting into it with everybody this season.
