Trevor Bauer

Trevor Bauer was sent for precautionary X-rays after the Cleveland Indians’ win over the Chicago White Sox on Saturday night.

Bauer left his start after being hit in the ankle by a Jose Abreu line drive in the 7th inning.

The comebacker ended Bauer’s outing a few batters earlier than anticipated. He still went 6.1 innings of two-hit ball, allowing just one run while striking out eight. Bauer picked up the win to improve to 12-6 while lowering his ERA to 2.22.

The 27-year-old is having a career season and firmly in the mix for the AL Cy Young award.
