The comebacker ended Bauer’s outing a few batters earlier than anticipated. He still went 6.1 innings of two-hit ball, allowing just one run while striking out eight. Bauer picked up the win to improve to 12-6 while lowering his ERA to 2.22.
The 27-year-old is having a career season and firmly in the mix for the AL Cy Young award.
