The Cardinals wrapped up their series with the Brewers on Wednesday, but one Cardinals player had on the special uniform worn by the club on Monday.
When the Cardinals stood for the national anthem prior to the series finale in Milwaukee, a camera panned across the front of the dugout when it stopped on Trevor Rosenthal. It did so because the Cardinals closer was wearing a jersey with camouflage on the front, while the rest of his teammates had on the regular road uniforms.
As it was noted on the broadcast, Rosenthal was unaware he had on the wrong jersey and no one told him so one can only imagine Rosenthal’s surprise when he looked down and saw camouflage on his chest.
The Cardinals shut out the Brewers on Monday in the Memorial Day uniforms. Unfortunately, St. Louis wasn’t able to duplicate their success on Wednesday as they were on the wrong end of a 3-1 final score.
