Twins activate Miguel Sano from disabled list
The Minnesota Twins are looking even more dangerous entering the playoffs.
The Twins activated Miguel Sano from the disabled list on Friday. Sano had been out with a stress reaction in his shin since August 19.
Sano had been doing some light running and other baseball-related activities since early September, but it took him about three weeks from that point to be ready for action.
The 24-year-old third baseman will return in time for the team’s final series of the regular season. The 3-game set with the Tigers could be a warm-up for Sano ahead of the team’s wild-card playoff game against the Yankees next week.
Sano is batting .267 with 15 doubles and 28 home runs on the season.
