The Minnesota Twins are paying tribute to the living legend.
The team announced on Friday that they will be honoring veteran righty Bartolo Colon by hosting “Big Sexy Night” when he takes the mound against the Toronto Blue Jays at Target Field on September 15. Exclusive “Big Sexy” T-shirts will also be included as part of a ticket package for the evening game.
While slapping Colon’s ubiquitous nickname on a tee isn’t entirely original, it will certainly be a fitting homage to the 44-year-old, who has become perhaps the MLB’s most beloved player with his various jolly hijinks over the years.
