Julio Rodriguez doesn’t have any plans to commit two all-time blunders within just days. The Seattle Mariners star avoided that from happening Saturday against the Chicago Cubs at T-Mobile Park in Seattle, Wash.
During one instance in the contest, Rodriguez even showed fans that he’s learned his lesson after his all-time blunder in a brutal loss to the Milwaukee Brewers on Tuesday.
With the score tied at 5-5 and two outs in the top of the 10th inning against the Cubs, Rodriguez caught a flyout in the outfield. Before tossing the ball to the crowd, the three-time All-Star jokingly gestured that he knew how many outs there were.
Here is a video of that moment.

Even better, Rodriguez and the Mariners came away with a thrilling 6-5 win after Leo Rivas had an RBI single in the 10th inning to finish the contest and get Seattle back in the win column.
It was an important win for Seattle amid its push to make it back to the MLB playoffs. The victory also showed the Mariners’ resilience following such a historically embarrassing setback.
Rodriguez didn’t do so great at the plate, going just 1-for-5 with two strikeouts, but it couldn’t have been worse than when he had that brutal blunder against Milwaukee that now lives on the internet forever.
