Wade Miley hit by line drives from consecutive batters (Video)
Friday’s start against the White Sox is one Wade Miley surely won’t forget anytime soon, if ever.
In the top of the first inning, Miley was hit on the left arm by a line drive back up the middle off the bat of Jose Abreu. The very next batter – Avisail Garcia – also hit a ball that made contact with the Miley in among the more unlucky set of circumstances a pitcher can experience. Here’s video of both at-bats.

After convincing the trainers to stay in after getting hit the first time, Miley left after taking the second shot with what the Orioles called a wrist contusion.
Officially, Wade Miley left tonight's game with a left wrist contusion.

Let’s hope it’s only a contusion because, according to MLB’s Statcast, those baseball’s were traveling at a pretty high rate of speed when they left the bats of Abreu and Garcia.
Per @statcast, those two line drives that hit Wade Miley were 103.3 mph (Abreu, arm) and 102.1 mph (García, leg). #Orioles
