Atlanta Braves manager Walt Weiss got all the memes on social media after his tackle of Los Angeles Angels outfielder Jorge Soler went viral.
Weiss, 62, managed to successfully tackle Soler after the outfielder charged the mound during a wild brawl Tuesday (video here). Social media loved it considering Weiss is nearly twice Soler’s age and the manager displayed some impressive form.
It even led to an offer from the Atlanta Falcons to “come put on the pads.”

There were even a few mock news graphics depicting Weiss signing with the Falcons.

Gets low.
Great vision in the hole.
Perfect wrap up to bring down 6'3'' 235lb Jorge Solar.
Can't teach a form tackle any better. pic.twitter.com/z8CYk4py9e
Weiss, as it turns out, was the right man for the moment. Braves broadcaster Brandon Gaudin pointed out that the Braves manager has both martial arts and MMA training.

Soler is a 6-foot-3 athlete in his prime. Weiss is carrying some serious strength if he can bring that guy down. In this case, it likely prevented the brawl from getting even worse.
