Mets’ Wilson Ramos learns wife is pregnant while in on-deck circle
Wilson Ramos found out mid-game that he and his wife will soon be welcoming another addition to their family.
When Ramos arrived at Citi Field for Thursday’s game between the New York Mets and St. Louis Cardinals, he probably did so thinking it would be a regular day at the ballpark. It turned out to be anything but that.
While the veteran catcher strolled to the on-deck circle prior to an at-bat in the fourth, his wife delivered the news she was pregnant with the couple’s third child. She let her husband know by making her way close to the field holding a sign that shared the great news.
Here’s the video of Wilson Ramos wife coming down with the sign telling him that she is pregnant with their third child. Awesome stuff. Congrats @WRamosC3 family! (video via @michebag22) pic.twitter.com/rk7rUYATSa

Hats off to Mrs. Ramos for her method of surprising her hubby, and congratulations are in order for child No. 3.
As for the at-bat, the good news did not bring much luck as Ramos struck out looking. He still gets to leave the park as a winner no matter what.
