Baseball, New York Mets, New York Yankees

Yankees and Mets have incredibly lame Twitter fight

The New York Yankees and New York Mets are rivals in the sense that both teams represent the same city. Since one is in the American League and one in the National League, they hardly ever meet on the field. That’s why social media is sometimes needed to spice things up even when they do square off.

Although, in this case we would hardly call it spicing things up. On Sunday, the Yankees and Mets had one of the lamest Twitter fights you’ll ever see.

Why the Yankees even took offense to the initial tweet, we don’t know. It’s not as if the Mets referred to them as “New York’s other team” or something. Whoever runs the Yankees’ Twitter account must have been bored.

You want a Twitter fight? This is a Twitter fight. The Two baseball teams from New York should take notes.
