Yasiel Puig responds to Keith Olbermann ripping him over bat flip
Yasiel Puig and Keith Olbermann had a funny Twitter exchange after the former ESPN commentator ripped the Dodgers outfielder for bat flipping during Game 1 of the NLCS on Saturday.
Puig went 2-for-4 with an RBI double and solo home run in the Dodgers’ 5-2 win in Game 1 over the Chicago Cubs. Prior to his RBI double in the fifth, Puig seemed to call his shot and then bat flipped after driving the ball to the gap.

Puig’s bat flip on a double didn’t sit well with Olbermann, who tweeted this harsh critique.
So effing tired of Yasiel Puig’s act – particularly his apparently terrible vision #DontBatFlipSinglesAndDoubles

But Puig wasn’t deterred. He offered this funny response to Olbermann.
Hey @KeithOlbermann I flip on singles and doubles & not on homers. Come watch the show. Need a ticket? I got you #PuigYourFriendToo https://t.co/7Ror8AyGRg

Puig was so nice and charming over Twitter that Olbermann ended up apologizing.
Well if you’re gonna be THAT way about it I guess I’ll have to say yes, and apologize to you #OlbermannYouFriend https://t.co/rznaV0LdTn

And of course Puig made light of his “slippery” bats.

It’s hard to get too mad at a guy like that. And Puig certainly is making a lot of friends with his strong play on the field.
