Free agent pitcher Yu Darvish says he has narrowed down his list of teams he is considering to six.
The Star-Telegram’s Jeff Wilson reported on Wednesday that Darvish is considering signing with the Rangers, Yankees, Cubs, Astros and Twins.
Yu Darvish has reportedly narrowed down his potential landing sports to #Rangers, #Yankees, #Cubs, #Astros and #Twins, per @JeffWilson_FWST.

Darvish actually responded to that tweet and said that one more team is in.
I know one more team is in. https://t.co/exxubGP7Qo

Darvish did not specify who the mystery team is, but we’ll guess that it’s the Los Angeles Dodgers. Darvish had played his entire career for the Rangers after they signed him as an international free agent until they traded him to the Dodgers last season. Darvish did well for the Dodgers until getting shelled in the World Series because the Astros had picked up his signals.
The 31-year-old Japanese pitcher is still regarded as one of the best pitchers in the game, which is why he has so many suitors. The free agent market will likely get moving once he picks his destination. We have pegged the Cubs as an ideal landing spot for him.
