Zach Britton reportedly in discussions to return to Yankees
The New York Yankees lost one of their most dependable relievers on Thursday when David Robertson signed with the Philadelphia Phillies, and that may result in them being even more motivated to bring back Zach Britton.
According to Jon Heyman of Fancred Sports, Britton has multiple offers on the table but the Yankees are “focused” on signing him.

There had been reports that the Phillies were being very aggressive in trying to sign Britton, so it should help the Yankees that they are out of the running. There’s always a chance Philly could try to sign both, but it seems like they have their sights set on much bigger prizes now.
Britton was solid for the Yankees after they acquired him in a trade with the Baltimore Orioles last season. He posted a 2.88 ERA and had eight holds and three saves in 25 appearances, so you can understand why retaining him would be a priority.
