Golden State Warriors forward Andre Iguodala said he expects to return sooner rather than later from his bruised knee.

Iguodala said Wednesday he is “not too far” from returning, even if progress has been slower than expected.

Iguodala hasn’t played since Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals with a bone bruise in his knee. He has already been ruled out of Game 1 and will be evaluated on a game-by-game basis going forward.

Iguodala certainly makes it sounds as if he’ll play at some point during the NBA Finals. That said, he probably didn’t expect to be sidelined this long in the first place, so we will see how it goes.
