Watch: Andre Iguodala strips Damian Lillard to seal Game 2 win
Damian Lillard didn’t even get a chance to tie Game 2 of the Western Conference finals in the final seconds on Thursday night. Andre Iguodala didn’t allow him the chance.
The Golden State Warriors veteran proved just how valuable he is by locking up Lillard on the final possession. He protected a 114-111 lead by getting a steal to keep Portland from having a chance to tie the game.

As soon as Iguodala got the steal and the Warriors won, he went running off the court like they had just stolen the game.

Iguodala’s numbers in the boxscore do not stand out. He had just four points, five rebounds and four assists in 31 minutes, but he made one of the biggest plays of the game when it counted the most.
Between this and how great he was against Houston, averaging 13.5 points per game on 60.4 percent shooting, Warriors fans have to be ecstatic over what they’re getting from the veteran.
Golden State now leads the Western Conference finals 2-0. Game 3 will be on Saturday in Portland.
