Bennett is on his way to becoming one of the biggest draft busts in NBA history, but it sounds like he will be getting another chance to prove himself.
Bennett was selected No. 1 overall by the Cavs out of UNLV in 2013. He played just 52 games and averaged only 4.2 points and 3.0 rebounds in 12.8 minutes per game during his rookie season. He was promptly traded to Minnesota in the Kevin Love deal, and he did not fare much better there.
The Raptors had Bennett up and down from the D-League this season before waiving him in February. At last check we heard in April that there was a possibility of Bennett going to play for an Australian team.
