Anthony Davis out for Pelicans’ game with shoulder injury
Anthony Davis suffered a shoulder injury just before halftime against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Thursday night.
Davis attempted to block a Nerlens Noel shot and hurt his shoulder. He was seen walking off the floor favoring his left arm.

Davis did not come out for the second half of the game, and the New Orleans Pelicans quickly said he was out for the rest of the game.
Davis has been in an awkward situation with the Pelicans. He wanted to play after returning from his finger injury, but the Pelicans didn’t really want to play him and reportedly faced fines from the league if they didn’t. Since returning, Davis has not played his usual amount of minutes, nor performed as effectively as usual. Maybe this will be the excuse the Pelicans need to shut Davis down for some period of time.
