This is the move the Lakers have wanted to make for months, and they get their second superstar to pair with LeBron James without surrendering Kyle Kuzma. It will also make Davis happy, as the Lakers were one of the two teams he wanted to be traded to.
The Pelicans should also be thrilled. The acquisitions of Ball and Ingram, coupled with two of the top four picks in the draft, will get a young core in place quickly. It’s a huge haul, but it may end up being a winner for all sides.
