Yes, that copy appeared in the Charlotte Observer Wednesday as part of a preview for the Knicks-Bobcats game. The mistake even inspired Baron Davis to have some fun with it on Twitter.
“Thanks Charlotte Observer for announcing my new injury. Still able to workout with it. Lol,” he joked. “Excuse the person from the Observer who made a Typo. I was Just having fun. My Goldmember is not herinated. Lol.”
The editor who made the error was trying to change the spelling of “disc” to “disk,” but ended up with “dick.” At least a herniated dick doesn’t sound as bad as a torn scrotum or ruptured testicle.
