
Ben Simmons put the finishing touches on the Philadelphia 76ers’ win over the Los Angeles Clippers on Tuesday night, and he did so by embarrassing his opponent in a way we don’t often see.
With 15 seconds remaining and the 76ers leading 117-113, the Clippers were looking to either steal the inbound pass from Simmons or — at the very least — immediately foul whichever Philly player the ball went to. The problem, however, was Clippers guard Sindarius Thornwell turned his back to Simmons. That allowed this to happen:

That’s just cold. The basket gave the Sixers a 119-113 lead, and that was all she wrote.
