Report: Blake Griffin suffers hand injury in team-related incident
Blake Griffin can now add a hand injury to his already existing quad injury, meaning he may be out of the lineup for the Los Angeles Clippers for longer than initially expected.
ESPN’s Marc Stein reports that Griffin returned home from the Clippers’ road trip after suffering a potential broken hand in an undisclosed team-related incident.
Griffin has been out with a quad injury since helping the Clippers beat the Lakers on Christmas. The team has gone 11-3 in his absence, although many of the victories came against sub-.500 teams.
Griffin had previously said that he “definitely” planned on the team’s current road trip, which concludes after Wednesday’s game in Atlanta. It looks like that will not be happening.
