Boston police are now investigating Jahlil Okafor for his role in a Wednesday street fight.
Early Friday, it was reported that Okafor would not be investigated unless a victim came forward. Later on Friday, the Boston Globe’s Felicia Gans reported that that happened, and Okafor was facing a police investigation.
Okafor allegedly punched the victim with a closed fist and knocked him to the ground after an argument. Video of the incident can be seen here, and the video is part of the police investigation.
Okafor played in Friday night’s loss against Houston, scoring 11 points and collecting six rebounds. The Sixers have not disciplined him to this point.
