LeBron James is officially heading to the Philadelphia 76ers for next season. It does not sound like his son Bronny will be following him.
Rich Paul, the agent for both LeBron and Bronny, said Friday that the two players are “not a package deal.” Bronny has no plans to try and force his way off the Lakers, and the team’s staff has a “fondness” for him, according to ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne.
As for the impact of LeBron James’ decision on his son Bronny James, Rich Paul, the agent for both tells ESPN that "they are not a package deal" and there's no current plan or request for Bronny Janes to join his father in Philly.

By all accounts, the Lakers value Bronny in his own right at this point. The team recently picked up his option for next season and the expectation is that he will get the chance to compete for backcourt minutes during preseason.
There were some rumors that one team pursuing James also wanted to add Bronny as part of the deal, but there is no evidence that the 76ers are headed in that direction. If the Lakers really are optimistic about his future, they would have no incentive to make any deals anyway.
Bronny has only averaged 2.7 points and 1.1 assists per game so far in two seasons with the Lakers. It is possible that his father’s departure will actually help him establish himself as his own player if he can get enough of a role to show it.
