Caitlin Clark will have to watch it, as she is just one technical foul away from an automatic one-game suspension.
The Indiana Fever star point guard racked up her seventh technical foul in the 2026 WNBA season during Wednesday’s game against the Connecticut Sun at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Ind., putting her near the league’s threshold of eight techs.
Clark picked up her latest technical foul after a heated moment with Connecticut guard Saniya Rivers late in the third period of the contest.
Depending on how well Clark will manages her emotions on the court and on the leniency of referees, she might be able to survive the rest of the season without getting hit with another tech.
That being said, there are still 17 games left on the Fever’s schedule in the regular season.
“I can’t predict the future,” Clark told reporters following the Fever’s 123-88 win over the Sun, via James Boyd of The Athletic. “You gotta ask the Magic 8 Ball.”
As for her performance, Clark went off for 27 points on 8/13 shooting with five triples and 11 assists to lead the Fever to their 17th win of the season.
Up next for Clark and the Fever is a showdown against the Seattle Storm on July 28 at Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, Wash.
