Carmelo Anthony seemingly responded on Instagram Friday to the latest jab from Phil Jackson.
Speaking with reporters on Friday following the conclusion of yet another disappointing season for the Knicks, Jackson, the team’s president, said he felt Anthony would be better off with a different team (full details here).
Not long after Jackson’s remarks started going viral, Anthony posted this response on Instagram:
Anthony has been trying to take the high road in response to shots from Jackson all season.
It has been clear for months that Jackson wanted to get rid of Anthony, though the team ended up holding onto their highest-paid player through the trade deadline. Reports said that regardless of whether it happened during the season or afterwards, Anthony would not be back with the Knicks next season. The comments from Phil seem to cement that.
Now the question is where will Anthony end up next? Perhaps with this Western Conference team.
