Just when the New York Knicks appeared to be turning things around, they went and reverted back to their early-season form. The Knicks have lost four straight after starting the month of January by winning six out of seven. Their 103-80 loss to the Brooklyn Nets at Madison Square Garden on Monday was particularly embarrassing.
At one point, the Knicks looked like a YMCA 12-and-under team when they somehow lost track of Deron Williams and left him wide open for a 3-pointer. The cameras picked a perfect time to zoom in on Carmelo Anthony, who was shaking his head in disgust after the play.
How bad have things gotten in New York? When guys like Beno Udrih are reportedly demanding a trade, you know the team is not having any fun. Udrih has not been playing many minutes with Raymond Felton and Pablo Prigioni healthy. He played just four minutes on Monday and did not touch the floor in a loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday.
